PROJECT OF INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATION WITH UNIVERSAL SIGNS
RESOLUTION OF THE LATIN-AMERICAN PARLIAMENT´S CULTURE AND EDUCATION COMMISSION
São Paulo (Brasil), 22 October 2004
The Commission, taking into account the UNESCO Declarations in relationship with the linguistic and cultural diversity, the agreement of the Spanish Associated Schools about the project, the existence of the Web Page (www.yogote.org) with all the information needed to handle the universal signs, and after having analysed the possibilities that this project offers for the cultural sphere, resolves:
· To encourage the respective Parliaments of Latin America to take into account the fostering of the gradual incorporation of universal signs at the different cultural activities in each country, as a contribution to a better cultural exchange with the rest of the world.
· To propose the corresponding Parlatino organs to begin exploratory contacts with other Parliamentary Associations, as well as with the International Culture Federations or Associations with which it maintains relations, in order that the respective Education and Culture Commissions or equivalents regard the fostering of common educational or cultural activities where the possibilities and interest offered by the universal signs to the international cultural exchanges can be proved.

de la Comisión de Educación, Cultura, Ciencia, Tecnología y Comunicación |

En la ciudad de Sao Paulo, en la Sede Permanente del Parlamento Latinoamericano, durante los días 21 de octubre de 2004 entre las 17:30 horas y las 19:30 horas, y 22 de octubre de 2004 entre las 16:30 y las 18:00 horas, se celebra la I Reunión de la Comisión de Educación, Cultura, Ciencia, Tecnología y Comunicación, con la presencia de los siguientes parlamentarios:

SEN. KENNETH STEPHEN JONG ARUBA Participan también el Dr. Alfredo Jiménez Barros, Coordinador Técnico del Parlamento Latinoamericano, la Prof. Tânia Guerra de la Confederación de Educadores Americanos (CEA) y el Dr. Xabier Prado del Proyecto de Comunicación con Gestos Internacionales y Coordinador para Espana del proyecto de UNESCO “La Ruta del Esclavo”. Una vez verificado el quórum se pone a consideración y se aprueba la siguiente agenda de la reunión: 1. Discusión y aprobación del programa para el desarrollo del tema “Alfabetismo y Analfabetismo en América Latina”. 2. Discusión y aprobación del programa para el desarrollo del tema: “Formación de Líderes en América Latina”. 3. Informe de avance del I Simposio Internacional sobre la Educación Superior y la Integración Latinoamericana (Sao Paulo, diciembre de 2004 –días específicos sujetos a definición), en cuyo marco se realizará la II Reunión de la Comisión, en un esquema similar al de la presente reunión. 4. Asuntos varios Enseguida se procede a tratar los temas aprobados. Después de amplias deliberaciones se llegó a las siguientes conclusiones: .......
